{"id":947,"date":"2015-02-08T17:06:39","date_gmt":"2015-02-08T16:06:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.termepejo.it\/en\/museo-guerra-bianca-e-museo-punta-linke\/"},"modified":"2015-12-09T10:12:30","modified_gmt":"2015-12-09T09:12:30","slug":"museo-guerra-bianca-and-museo-punta-linke","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.termepejo.it\/en\/val-di-pejo\/museo-guerra-bianca-and-museo-punta-linke\/","title":{"rendered":"Museo Guerra Bianca and Museo Punta Linke"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><b>PEJO 1914 &#8211; 1918 \u2013 La Guerra sulla Porta (The war on the doorstep)<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>It is a heterogeneous collection of antiques, weapons and images from the <b>First World War <\/b>found on the Ortles-Cevedale front as witness of the long and hard-fought \u2018White War\u2019 which Val di Pejo was theatre of.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/museo-della-guerra-bianca-peio-paese.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-content wp-image-342\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/museo-della-guerra-bianca-peio-paese-800x420.jpg\" alt=\"museo della guerra bianca peio paese\" width=\"800\" height=\"420\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the museums rooms it is possible to visit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a camp kitchen aimed at a reflection on the problem of subsistence<\/li>\n<li>a cart found on Punta Linke which was the main means of transport at those altitudes<\/li>\n<li>a hut used as emergency point to show how difficult the medical and health condition was<\/li>\n<li>a tabernacle used in the trenches and a transportable altar showing the soldiers\u2019 spiritual life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the museum you can also find a <b>rich collection of volumes<\/b> telling the story of the territory, a <b>series of diaries and memoires of soldiers and civilians<\/b>, documents describing the finds, and a video archive dedicated to the First World War.<\/p>\n<h4><b>TIMETABLE<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Christmas and Easter: 16.00-19.00<\/p>\n<p>Summer season: 10.00-12.00 | 14.00-19.00<\/p>\n<h4><b>INFORMATION<\/b><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ph. 348 7400942<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:museopejo@virgilio.it\">museopejo@virgilio.it<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>MUSEO PUNTA LINKE<\/h3>\n<p><b>An open air museum located at an altitude of 3.632 m asl<\/b><\/p>\n<p>During The Great War <b>Punta Linke<\/b> (3.632 m), located in the <b>Ortles-Cevedale<\/b> mountain range, was one of the most important and strategic austro-hungarian posts in the whole front. With its double aerial ropeway installation, it was connected with the valley floor of Val di Pejo on the one side and with the \u201cCoston delle barache brusade\u201d on the other, towards Palon de la Mare, in the heart of the Forni glacier.
