\"Certificato<\/a><\/p>\n

LEED\u00ae<\/b> – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design \u2013 is a building certification system <\/b>created on a voluntary basis and adopted by 140 countries in the world to-date. The LEED standard was defined in America by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a non-profit association born in 1993 who now has more than 20.000 members. Its goal is to promote and develop a global approach to sustainability by certifying \u201cvirtuous\u201d performances in the field of human and environmental health.<\/p>\n

LEED standards, developed by USGBC and also applied in Italy thanks to the activity of GBC Italia (which created a local version of these standards), define the requirements for the construction of environmental sustainable buildings<\/b>, in terms of energy and consumption of all the environmental resources involved in the construction process.<\/p>\n

LEED is a consensus-based system for the planning, construction and management of sustainable buildings and high-performance territorial areas<\/b>; it is more and more internationally adopted, it applies to any kind of building and promotes an integrated planning system relating to the whole building.<\/p>\n

The certification consists in the examination, by an independent third party, of the performance of a whole building<\/b> (or of part of it) and\/or of urban areas. The LEED certification, which is internationally recognized, certifies that a building is respecting the environment and that it is an healthy place to live and work in.<\/p>\n

Terme di Pejo<\/b> pursued the goal of complying with the LEED certification standards<\/b>, as we consider this certification to be the quality seal of a project aimed at protecting the quality of work and of the will to preserve the environment for future generations.<\/p>\n
